Proof copies of my new book, Witchfinder, are on their way to reviewers and, after more months (or is that years?) than I care to recall, my novel set in British intelligence in the sixties will be published on September 19th. For the hardback we looked at some classic 1960’s jackets and the Hodder designer has come up with something similar for the cover of Witchfinder.
This is just the text for the proof copies but the front is pretty much how it will be. The spiral on the cover reminds me of a scene in the film of Len Deighton’s Ipcress File when the hero, Harry Palmer – played by Michael Caine – is brain washed with technicolour lights that seem to owe inspiration to an acid trip!
