New York Gallery

New York was the first city of the New World, according to Baedeker in his 1909 guide; ‘inferior in population, as also in commercial and financial importance, to London alone among the cities of the globe’; and even more culturally diverse with 35% of its population of four and a half million people ‘foreign born’.   Wolff’s New York is a vibrant, confident, even brash, city with a skyline for the new century.
