Looking forward to the new ITV drama, ‘A Spy Among Friends’, the story of British super spy Kim Philby and his university and MI6 mate, Nicholas Elliott. A great cast and production values.
It’s based on Ben Macintyre’s nonfiction book of the same. Macintyre’s book inspired me to write a sequel of sorts. My historical spy thriller, ‘Witchfinder’, picks up in 1963 after the defection of Philby. A very different story, a story of spy catchers out of control, but with some of the same characters. Who knows? If it’s a roaring success maybe ITV will consider a sequel! Here’s a review in London’s Standard newspaper.
